Gorilla tracking rules and regulations, The primary gorilla trekking rule is to keep a distance of 32ft (10 meters) so as to avoid contact between you and the gorilla. Hence follow the advice given to you by the guide or ranger to maintain the no contact safe distance however some baby gorillas sometimes they are curious about who youare they may want to touch you , don’t be afraid and touch them back for this may be a wrong interpretation to the silver whose strength is 20times strong of a well-trained human being. Other rules and regulations include;
Wearing a face mask
Leave luggage or backpack about 50meters away
The camera shutter should be set to silent with the flash disabled
Wash your hands before entering the park
Do not litter in the park
Keep your voices down to a minimal so as not miss the beautiful sounds of dueting birds and not disturb the gorillas
Maximum number of trekkers allowed is 8 so as to reduce the exposure of the gorillas to human borne diseases.
Before taking pictures, the guide will inform you when to remove the cameras
Stay in a tight group for safety purposes
Do not eat or drink near the gorillas
Do not touch the gorillas they are wild animals
The maximum time allowed with the gorillas is one hour
In case of an illness or contagious disease when the visitor is already at the park, please volunteer to stay behind your money will be refunded
If you feel the urge to cough or sneeze when you are near the gorillas please turn your away and cover your mouth and nose.
