Day 1
You will be received by our tour guide who will briefly take you through the journey highlights and then proceed to embark on a journey southwest to Bwindi. You will have two stopovers one at the equator to take photos and the other in Mbarara town for a lunch meal. On arrival at the park, you will check in to your accommodation then prepare for a long day tomorrow.
Day 2
You will take an early breakfast, request for a packed lunch from your lodge and then proceed to the park headquarters for a pre-gorilla trekking briefing. You will be assigned a ranger guide and a gorilla family to trek. Mountain gorilla trekking starts from where the gorillas were last seen then proceed deeper in the thick forest in search of the primates. You will have the luxury of spotting other primates such as Red-tailed monkeys and birds along the trek. Once you find the gorillas, you will have an hour with them taking photos and observing their behavior then head to the headquarters for a certificate that shows you trekked gorillas. You will then retire to your accommodation.
Day 3
Arise to the smell of a delicious breakfast before packing and transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a lunch en-route. On arrival you will check into your accommodation then later in the afternoon travel to the Ishasha sector for a spectacular sight of tree climbing lions. You will lounge under the tree branches as you enjoy scenic views of the park. You will then head back to the lodge and rest.
Day 4
Awaken to the symphonious sounds of African birds as you take breakfast before proceeding to Kasenyi for a morning game drive. You will have the opportunity of spotting early rising animals such predators including lions and leopards before they retire to their habitats, herds of buffalos and elephants among others and a variety of bird species before heading back for a lunch break. Then go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel for a birding experience. You will also spot other aquatic animals such as crocodiles and water birds at close range. You will then retire at the lodge.
Day 5
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Kibale forest national park with lunch en-route in fort portal town and also go on a cultural expedition to Toro Kingdom. You will then continue the journey to the park and on arrival check into the accommodation. In the afternoon you will go on a guided walk in the crater lake region of the park to Bigodi swamp for a birding experience with birds such as the solitary shoe bill.
Day 6
After an early morning breakfast, you will be taken to Kibale National Park Headquarters for a briefing and assigning of guides before setting off into the forest. You are advised to walk behind the guide as they provide you with information about the tour, chimpanzees and navigate you through the rugged terrain. In addition to the chimpanzee you will spot other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys, butterflies and birds.
Day 7
After an early morning breakfast, guests prepare for departure to embark on a trip back home.
