4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo, Our 4 days Queen Elizabeth national park and Lake Mburo safari will take you Uganda’s most popular national game park which is home to 95 animal species, a staggering bird species of 600, 10 primates including the exciting chimpanzees and colorful butterflies. The park is also famous for its out of this world tree climbing lions which are found in the Ishasha sector south of the park. The park hosts the Kazinga channel which has the largest concentration of animals and a boat ride along the channel will enable you to spot all the animals in one go. The features an extraordinary ecosystem including swamps, rivers, crater lakes, Maramagambo and Kalinzu forests, Kyambura gorge and lakes.
A tour of the Lake Mburo national park, the smallest savannah park in Uganda offers you amazing scenic views of the wild and the only national park that offers horseback rides. You will enjoy nature walks, game drives and launch cruises on the lake.

Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
On arrival, you will be warmly received by a tour guide from Early Trails Expedition who will drive you to Lake Mburo National park. There will be an en-route stopover at Kayabwe at the Equator crossing where you can stand both in the northern and southern hemispheres at the same time. You will also participate in a water experiment as you enjoy a picture moment. You will continue with the 4 hour journey and proceed to arrive at the lodge, check in and enjoy a scrumptious lunch.
After lunch, you will set out on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo for a chance to spot aquatic animals such as crocodiles, hoppos and numerous bird species. You will then head back at the lodge have dinner and retire for the day.
Day 2: Morning game drive. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Breakfast will be served early just in time to go out for a morning game drive. This activity offers you the opportunity to view game including; elephants, buffalos, Elands, Topis, Impalas, Oribi, giraffes, waterbucks, hyenas, Jackels, leopards and so many more. The park is notorious for having the largest number of zebras in Uganda. Also offers the amazing chance to enjoy horseback ride to get an up-close view of the game.
A birders’ haven with over 300 bird species such as African grey hornbill, Crested fancolin, Emerald spotted wood dove, Green wood pecker, Red-necked Spur, Trilling cisticola, Black bellied bustard, Southern red bishop, the rare Shoebill stock among others.
After lunch, you will embark on a 4-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the amazing countryside arriving in the evening. On arrival, you will check in and if time permits enjoy a community tour to the women’s group in the Katara region to see how they make different products from elephant dung. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Track tree-climbing lions in Ishasha sector. Boat ride along the Kazinga channel/4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo
Morning breakfast will be served early after which you will transfer to the southern region of the park to the Ishasha sector to track tree-climbing lions. This avails you with the opportunity to track the mind-blowing tree-climbing lions which are usually spotted hanging on the fig tree branches in the park. The reason as to why the king of the jungle hangs in the tree is highly speculated with some saying its because they are seeking refuge in the trees to avoid biting insects on the ground. It may also be because they get a better view of their prey as they approach. For whatever reason, the sight is truly wonderful. You will then drive back to the lodge for an afternoon break.
The afternoon will take you for a boat cruise to the Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward to Lake George. On this 3-hour ride, you will be able to spot the largest concentration of wildlife including the largest population of hippos in Africa and an amazing list of bird species. Other water lovers you can spot include; Elephants, Buffalos, crocodiles, antelopes as they come to drink and cool off from the sun.
Day 4: Morning game drive. Transfer back to Kampala.
Have breakfast at leisure then proceed to enjoy a morning game drive through the park for a chance to spot animals such as buffalos, hyenas, zebras, leopards, elephants, Impalas among others. You will then depart to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch on the way.
